Levada | parrish church

The church, dedicated to S.S. Peter and Paul, is mentioned in a donation to the monastery of Mogliano  in the 997. Restored in the first decade of the '500, because of the poor condition. it was enlarged in 1693 and decorated with frescoes in the lower band the roof trusses. In the first half of the eighteenth century the aisles were added and in 1763 it was applied a neoclassical ceiling. there are the two altars, dedicated to our Lady of Sorrows and the rosary, in white marble made up by G. Bernardi said Torretto. The original bell tower, set against the apse of the church, it was added another much larger size, behind the facade.
